During the last family gathering at my place, I thought that I should make something special for the kids. Normally the kids and teenagers are always left out at parties (been through when I was a kid), give them a coke or some juice while adults have a variety of whiskies, wine and what not. I have a sort of juice fountain at home, very cute and apt for parties. I made a non-alcoholic mojito for the kids where they could refill their drinks on their own and simply have a good time.
This drink took me little time to prepare and few ingredients were needed. I was surprised by how many people actually liked it, even the adults! Many of them asked for the recipe.
Non-alcoholic drinks and mocktails are particular fun to make and drink. My go-to drink is Mojito and thus I tried to make a dubbed version at home.
Here’s how to make it:
- 1 lemon
- 0.5L Sprite
- Mint (some leaves)
- 2 tbsp Mint Syrup
- 1 glass of mint-lemon juice
- Cut the lemon in slices and mint chopped.
- In a jar, pour in the sprite, mint syrup and mint-lemon juice.
- Add mint and lemon to it and mix well.
- Serve with ice or you can also fridge it for a bit.
Voila, c’est fait! So easy and quick.
The above recipe serves four people in a medium glass as per visuals.
You can also add Vodka to it if you prefer alcoholic drinks (for adults of course).
